...in other words, not THAT soft. The Ascent is Vibram's first control driver. Launched in 2010, the Speed 7 "iron" is the Massachusetts manufacturer's farthest flyer (so far), and has been likened to both a Leopard and a Teebird, and as something in between. As of this writing, Vibram has eight models in production, four putters, two mid-range drivers, and two control drivers. The disc golf community ponders, trying to imagine a distance driver made out of rubber.
