I used to play Ultimate, and when I’m really sucking in disc golf every drive I release has to be hyzer, because I have no confidence.

So I have to fake it, and one way to fake not completely sucking at disc golf is to throw massively understable discs with hyzer and hope no one notices that:

1) You suck
2) You’re a pussy
3) People who’ve never played look more comfortable throwing than you do

So I go to a tournament at Cross Farms in Connecticut, and I’ all three of the above and Keith Burtt says, of my Vulcan, “Isn’t that a disc for little kids?”

And maybe that exposed me. Actually, I felt pretty exposed. But you know what else I realized? That Keith Burtt doesn’t care about other people’s feelings.
