Vibram
Vibram Disc Golf was the disc golf division of Italian rubber company Vibram S.p.A.—the same world-famous brand known for making Vibram soles for hiking boots and athletic shoes. In the late 2000s, Vibram launched its disc golf line in Massachusetts under the leadership of Steve Dodge (based in Leicester, MA), cousin to our own Jason Southwick here at Marshall Street. Vibram discs, made from proprietary rubber rather than plastic, quickly earned a cult following for their unique feel, extreme durability, and grip. Though Vibram ceased disc production in 2018, their discs remain prized by collectors and players alike—and their story remains close to home for us here in Massachusetts.
